Vasari, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Raphael and Wimpy

Nice mix eh?
Went Christmas shopping today and feel so much better knowing I have started, perhaps now I can concentrate on my commission painting tomorrow.

Mum and I lunched at the Wimpy where I managed a quick sketch before we were served our food. I later filled the rest of the spread with notes from the second (and final) part of the BBC4 programme 'Travels with Vasari'.
The paper collage in the background is an old paper bag I found in a drawer that I thought looked Festive, so I ripped a piece off and stuck it in my journal before I left this morning.

Your creativity and energy astounds and inspires me. Good luck with your commission. I love your quick sketches.

That contrast between what you've written about and what you've drawn is beautiful - love it! Did you colour it on site or afterwards?

I think adding that bit of paper finished it off. Kind of like your potato stamps have done.

Great programme wasnt it Anita? Saw it last week as well. Havent seen any more of the Rolf Harris portrait programmes advertised though. Loved the gold collage.

I really like the use of the paper background--and the colors you used look jewel like

Wow this looks great, I thought you had stamped it at first. You guys are lucky, they don't give out any nice paper bags like that here at all. When I go to England I save all the lovely small paper bags and bring them home:):)
