Screen Dazzlers

Two recent journal pages involving two magnificent screen experiences.
The Beijing Oympics opening was just awesome, I was stuck to the screen throughout the whole event along with millions of other people.
Wall.E is such a fantastic film, it has a little of everything and involves some genius animation that fills two rather motionless characters full to the brim with emotion.
The perfect family film that is truly suitable for all age groups.

Anita, as always I love looking at your blog...your sketches are always so varied in style, but are always wonderfully done. Where in the United Kingdom do you live? I live in Michigan (US), but my sister lived for over 30 years in London and then moved to Poole, now she is back here and living in Tennessee. always wanted to visit.

So glad you and Harry got to see Wall-E... It was a cute movie... and brilliant animation. You and Harry are having such fun during school break... kids here start back next Monday. Cherish these times together... summer grows short indeed.

Great WALL-E! My four-year old saw it on the computer screen and was very impressed!

I haven't seen the movie, but have been watching the Olympics daily!! Good sketches of both ideas.

An inspired idea to paste the cinema tickets with their computerized printing alongside the robot - and a cute drawing, too!

I can't wait 'til M is old enough to sit through a film: I'll be able to revert to childhood again for an hour or two! We have so far attempted "Jungle Book" and "Piglet's Big Movie" ... Watching something on a screen in the company of a little one is considered poor parenting these days, but it was always huge fun if my memories are anything to go by! :)

Is it ok for 50 something grandpas to go see Wall-E without kids. The grands are too young.
