Close To Home - Doddington

Alpha Cottage, New Street, Doddington © Anita Davies

Alpha Cottage sits behind three trees that I call 'The Lollipops'. It has quaint little wooden shutters around the windows and a picket fence making it an easy choice for my 'close to home' project.

The George pub opposite has a car park at the front which faces Alpha Cottage, so I was able to sit in my truck for this sketch.

I like the symmetry on this. It looks like a happy place to be.

Oooh! I love these sweet "gum drop" shaped trees...for some reason this house is calling my name...:)

Funny trees! This looks very exotic to my Mediterranean eyes!

Great choice - so different from all the other lovely homes you have painted. I think Lollypops is a much better name for the house than Alpha!!!
