A journal page from the weekend.
I'm finding it easier to use grids with small sketches in for my journal entries since signing up to the Everyday in May project and choosing a theme. That and the 'Close to Home' project take up a good part of my art time and the grid format allows me to make small studies throughout my day of anything I choose to sketch
...A little freedom in a month full of themes!

Wonderful as usual, Anita. That violet shadow looks every bit as delicious as the piece of candy.
Terrific job....
Oh YUM! Great bold color! Love it! :)
Gorgeous little arrangment: they're all so nicely rendered. I decided to start journalling in my small Canson this morning, at breakfast, and found a grid the easiest option too. I've just pencilled one in freehand and will use or ignore it, depending on how I feel at the moment of sketching. But it is a huge prompt to drawing something, and really helps to create a pleasing composition.
Wonderful entry!
Every time I see one of your grids I think I must try that, and this time is no exception. One of these days I'll actually do it (probably!).
Another beautiful piece of art. I, too, enjoy working in grids and it always inspires me when I see others doing it. I had to laugh when I saw your hand drawing since my husband teases me about sitting around with my thumb tucked into my fist. Again, great job.

Great job on these! I think the grid is a good itea. It makes the sketching areas less pressure if they're smaller, and you won't be tempted to aim for something too big.
