A Splash Of Colour

This beautiful building sits opposite the church in Doddington village and on Friday afternoon I parked in the bay and sketched from my truck, while munching on a baguette I purchased at the local post office, before collecting Harry from school.

A lovely sketch of a little place I know well, I have one son who lives in Chatteris and a Grandson who lives in Wimblington. I did have another but he died in an accident 4 years ago on the road that bypasses Doddington and Wimblington from Chatteris to March

Oh Terry, so sorry for your loss. I know the road and always avoid it when possible, passing through the villages instead.
Such a small world we live in, where are you based now?

Beautiful drawing! I like that you didn´t colour the whole thing, it makes it stand out a bit more.

Beautiful sketch indeed! Like the little add of color. Another great one from a fine artist.

Oh Anita! Such self control created a truly charming sketch! I am going to try something like this. Less is certainly more!

This just sings "Spring!" A great effect! Smashing!

But...Okay...I just have to ask...am I the only one to catch the fact that you bought a baguette at the POST OFFICE??? Is this a usual place to find one? Interesting....

This is really beautiful! Love the little bit of color.

Good job on the picture. I like doing sketches with just a touch of color like Elvis with blue eyes the only color. Or red lips on an actress.

I also am jealous. I can't get food at my post office.

Great work! That is the first thing I thought too, Margaret Ann! A baguette from the post office? That seems SOOOO crazy to me! I also would like to know if this is normal where you live.?
Anita,
I admire that you take advantage of all your free time to get in a quick drawing, even if it is only a few minutes. I shows that even if you have a busy life, you can still fit it in, if it's really something you love to do.

No more excuses for me!

This is truly a beautiful sketch. If it were mine, I'd probably frame it and hang it on a wall somewhere. Very lovely!

Thankyou Nina.

Bless, thank you Donn!

I believe so too Lisa, I just love the 'unfinished'

LOL...Of course this would sound strange...Ok... our local post office is situated inside the village grocery shop. Hope it all makes more sense now.

Thanks Scrappy.

LOL...Thanks Jeanne.

Thanks Kaine...I believe it has made more of my life, all the parts that used to be boring are now fun!

I'm flattered Jim...Thank you!
