Wednesday found me adding a few more sketches to my Seawhite, square journal using nothing but Noodler's ink, my Lamy Safari fountain pen and a water brush here and there. My first image was loosely based on a magazine reference.
Tim and Dawn live in the village and supply flowers to the local supermarkets and florists from their home. After hearing I have artistic tendencies, they passed on an invitation for me to select flowers at a discount rate so I popped along and chose a stem of lilies and chrysanthemums.
Dawn kindly refused payment of any kind with the promise she we allow me to pay for my choices next time.
I am enjoying the Seawhite square pages, they remind me a lot of W&N Heavyweight pages to work with, although slightly thinner they seem to handle plenty of action with my Lamy nib and they are sized, so take watercolour washes well . You do not get the same reactions as a good rag paper though.
What I'd give for a sketchbook that did it all!

All of these are great, but the lilies are gorgeous :) You have really been inspiring me with all the work you have been doing with your Lamy and I think I am finally going to have to buy one for myself :) May I ask what size nib you use?

I love these, all of them. It seems to suit you fine to draw in ink. I love the colour of that Noodler´s.

I can't believe how much you've worked since one of my last visits!!!!! You never stop, do you?! It's really a pleasure to see your drawings, paintings, sketches, you're always wanting to know what is like (like me), trying new materials and experimenting new things. GOOD WORK!!!!
