Florals and their Roots

Noodler's black/red ink and coloured pencil

These are a few of the beautiful artificial flowers that fill an urn on my lounge side table.

I purchased them from a local garden centre and they cost me a fortune. I remember driving home feeling guilty and wondering if I should turn around and take them back. I am so pleased I didn't, they are perfect and so pretty, even now, five years later.

This is a sunflower, hand picked from my parents field (next door). I trampled over in the rain to collect it but the weather was kinder to me today when I took the photograph.
