Remembering Diana

'The People's Princess' - Ink

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since Diana's tragic death, today would have been her birthday.

Saturday afternoon I used one of the many beautiful photographs of Diana to create another lead free portrait, sketching directly in ink using an Edding 1800 profipen 0.1, the sketch took approx. 30 minutes.
Below is an acrylic portrait I painted for a charity auction in 2005.

That lead-free work is really developing! Are you watching the concert? My DW and DD are actually there, but I couldn't go, so I'm just watching on the TV. Grrr.

Thanx Dave. Poor you left behind, I've managed to catch bits and pieces on the TV.

That painting is incredible! I used to draw her all the time when I was a teenager - will have to see if I can find any of my drawings.

Thankyou Emma, let me know if you find them!

Wow, you've really caught the essence of her smile. A wonderful tribute to a great woman and human being. The world has and will miss her.
