5x7" - ink and watercolour
I was recently offered the chance to sketch at Chatteris museum and then exhibit my sketches during the Chatteris festival week. The museum has a lot of interesting items, some of which I captured in my sketchbook when I took the offer up and used the museum as my venue for the 13th Worldwide Sketchcrawl.
I will be exhibiting my sketchbook but thought it might be nice to hang a small framed piece too. Me being me, I had this genius idea today and started it at around 11.30pm this evening...the work is due tomorrow!
I popped into the museum earlier today and shot a few quick photos before picking my Son up, it was a little rushed, as a result the photos make you feel drunk if you look at them too long! However, among them was a half decent shot of some old kitchen bits and pieces, so that is the one I used a reference for the piece above.

How exciting! I'm sure museum visitors will love seeing your sketchbook. This is very nice. I like the way you've created texture in the background which contrasts really well with the shiny metal.

Anita-this is a wonderful study - The milk churn and (i think)worn white enamel really jogged a memory for me aboutgoing 'bargain hunting' at boot sales and garage sales when I was younger! Jules

Yes, the items reminded me of car boot sales too and I think you are right with the 'milk churn'.
