Lead-Free Figures

Continuing my exercise to sketch figures directly with pigment liner/pen I took advantage of my youngest Son being engrossed in his Lego on Friday evening. The time allowance was 15 minutes and I later added some quick colour washes.

Oh, this came out wonderful! That's awesome, I have such a hard time drawing people real-time, I mean not from a photo. Wow, this came out really good. :)

Lovely Anita. This reminds me of an 'old-fashioned' children's book illustration. I like the washes and the way you've left areas of highlight. Jules

What a magical 15 minutes work, Anita. I was about to say vintage children's illustration but I see Jules has beaten me to it.

Very nicely done; you even made the box look transparent! And doesn't he play neatly...no Lego scattered all over the room (or is that artistic license!).

What a great sketch! Very nicely done. I also love the red jam jar from a previous post.

I am so pleased you mentioned the transparency of the toy box, I was rather pleased with that myself.

What a wonderful sketch! You're doing really well without the pencil. And your subject matter continues to inspire me as well.

Thanx Phthalo, I'm surprised how natural the pen feels to me now.
