On Tuesday I moved into the lounge with my small moleskin and new handbag sketch kit, containing two brush pens filled with diluted inks and a 0.1 pigment liner.
I've sketched my lounge from my favourite seat on the two seated sofa at the top end of the room before so I decided to make comfy on the other sofa and sketch, capturing a corner of my lounge that is usually out of my view when I'm seated.
On Wednesday I found myself back in my favourite seat where I concentrated on part of my sideboard.
I am really enjoying my new limited handbag kit, the two different neutral shades create instant interest and the brown helps to warm things up a little, they also have an antique feel about them that really appeals to me and they lay beautifully on the cream coloured paper that fills my moleskin.

Wow! Awesome sketches here. Both of them are just wonderful. If this is what happens when you are homebound, we may end up wishing you a lot more bad weather. ;-)
Isn't it amazing how sometimes limiting ourselves produces interesting and beautiful results? A side note: Thanks for the comment on my blog - I'll be thinking very brave lead-free thoughts in your direction ;).
These came out really well. I had no idea you sometimes pencilled first, because your ink lines looked free and confident - so well done for stepping ut of the comfort zone. I'm curous which brown ink you're using - it has a nice warm pinky tone when diluted.
These are beautiful, Anita. The two different brush pens give a wonderful finish.
Not quite so adventurous this time! That looks like a comfy sofa (or is it a chair?). Those brush pens really suit your style. Lovely work.
This new color pallette really suits you - which is funny when you look at things like the beautiful rose you just did where the color is so rich and saturated. But I love these little glimpses into the corners of your world (lounge). So much more interesting than seeing everything at once.
Very nice...the look is soo cozy....great place on a rainy day!
Where's my ring shoe gone from the sideboard???? Is it now in studio becoming part of your 'rags to riches' project?? or was it 'glad rags'??
Joannie
Beautiful work yet again, Anita! I love those cream and pink tones.
