EDM Challenge 109

Pigment liner and watercolour pencil

EDM challenge 109 was to sketch a clock from around your house giving me the perfect excuse to create something in the spirit of my upcoming trip to Paris, which I am sharing on my Location Sketchbook .

I purchased this beautiful clock when I visited Paris for my Birthday weekend in 2003. It has never worked since the day of purchase, which is a pretty typical experience with me and clocks or watches, but I love it anyway!

Now that's what I call a clock! I love looking a clocks; I recently visited the Greenwich Observatory, which has a wonderful exhibition of historic clocks. This is a lovely drawing.

What a delightfully extravengent clock! Awesome job here. Kudos to you for not being afraid of a little (ok, a LOT of) detail :)

Thankyou Christeen. It's beautiful isn't it, I couldn't resist it on my trip to Paris. It's tiny, about 6inches high, so it slipped into my suitcase perfectly for the journey home!
