This old enamelled teapot has been in my family home since I was a child, my Mum used to have a spiderplant growing in it on our fireplace when we lived in Cheshunt and I came across it in their utility cupboard again a few weeks back.

More Planning
...Getting there!
This spread is dated 2-11-11 as you can see and my wardrobe is actually completed now, just a bit more painting in my actual bedroom and some carpet and I'm done....It is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found these plans very helpful while trying to accomodate my needs, maximise the space and utilise items from my parents home. Everything works exceptionally well for me so far.
I will of course make some sketches and take some pics when all the lose ends are tied.

Da Vinci
Watched a programme on BBc1 entitled 'Da Vinci - The Lost Treasure' and doodled with some Walnut ink, watercolour and gouache while it was on.
Planning
Going over some storage fixing ideas for my new walk-in wardrobe. I'm afraid you'll see a few spreads like this over the next couple of days, I'm pretty thorough when I plan something, I source as many options as possible and then calculate how each will accomodate my individual needs. Plus, I love planning of any kind so I tend to get a bit of a buzz out of it all.

Burwash Manor, Cambridge UK
Discovered a new tearoom complete with small shopping complex at Burwash Manor. I didn't indulge in a cream tea on this trip but will return to do so...very nice location with some wonderful sketching opportunities for warmer weather.

Noodlers Red Black
Funny how you sketch differently with various inks, my Lamy filled with Noodlers red/blk ink always brings out a more sketchy side of me, I guess because it's a little more forgiving than the bullet proof black ink I usually draw with.
Really enjoyed this spread, it was lovely working with a tones base for a change. I added a little white gouache for highlights.

What A Mess!
MY studio is full to brimming with bags of my shoes, clothes and various things from my parents home...It has become a storage unit eagerly awaiting completion of my walk-in wardrobe. I can't wait to get it all sorted and put away so I can give my studio a good clean and re-vamp.

An Old Friend
I can remember getting a calligraphy set from my parents when I was young and spending time writing letters to anyone I could think of! I think I was about 13 or 14 when I got it. I recently found it again, all in the original box with some full cartridges, I popped one in and it worked...after all these years...no cleaning, no tinkering it simply worked...Can you believe that!?!
